Hundreds of you have spoken and have been heard. Others may be a little later in joining the One City, One Vision party. It doesn't matter which group you're in.

Every person who wants to be part of the historic renewal process taking place in Anniston is invited to a community open house from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Anniston Meeting Center. Your concerns and ideas as expressed at public gatherings over the past several months have been carefully considered and distilled into proposed actions that will provide a roadmap to a revitalized Anniston.

Without doubt, our city has taken some licks in recent years, but we are a resilient bunch. The positive changes already taking place under new city leadership are just the beginning of exciting days ahead — if we are willing to seize the momentum. On Thursday, proposed actions will be revealed and we will have the chance to set priorities and turn proposals into a concrete plan for our city. We hope you will join us and catch the excitement.
