Westbrook Christian 49, LaFayette 48: Westbrook Christian made big play in clutch situations to get past LaFayette.

The Warriors' win advances them to Saturday's Class 2A Northeast Regional final against either Fyffe and Lanett.

Westbrook was led by Kyle Leonard's 15 points. Colin Edwards added 14. For LaFayette, Trevond Barnes led the effort with 14 points, while Jatarvious Whitlow added 11.

Edwards gave Westbrook (24-4) the lead with 2:17 on a slam before both teams struggled to find the bottom of the net until there was less than half a minute left. Whitlow cut the deficit to one points for the Bulldogs with 20.7 seconds left, but Barnes was unable to sink a hook shot for the win in the closing seconds.
