Prep basketball roundup: Foster lifts Donoho boys

Donoho’s boys got 20 points, 25 rebounds and six blocks from Justin Foster in a 51-39 win over Jacksonville Christian. Axis Heathcock added 10 points and nine rebounds, while Kevin Carr had 10 points.

Alex Jones’ 20 points led JCA.

Jacksonville 75, Pleasant Valley 48: Cam Horton’s 26 points led Jacksonville, and Riven Hill added 15.

Ranburne 72, Ohatchee 42: At Ranburne, the Bulldogs completed Class 2A, Area 10 undefeated at 8-0. Brayden Wilson finished with 14 points. Mark David Smith scored 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Jay Smith and Dylan Wiggins tallied 10 points apiece and Smith had seven rebounds.

Dillon Parker led Ohatchee with 21 points.

Piedmont 79, Ashville 54: Darnell Jackson paced Piedmont with 14 points, including two 3-pointers.

Caleb Adams ended with two treys, 11 points and four assists. Dreek Thompson, Ty Sparks and Denard Spears each scored 10 points.


Jacksonville Christian 39, Donoho 26:
Elysabeth Morales had 14 points and 25 rebounds in JCA’s win, and Sarah Crook pitched in nine points.

Amanda Sherer had 17 points for Donoho.

Ranburne 54, Ohatchee 29: Alyssa Smith contributed 14 points and 12 rebounds for Ranburne (16-8), and Jesse Ralston added 11 points. Lacey Smith chipped in seven points, six assists and four steals.

Ohatchee’s Morgan Lee scored 17 points.

Ashville 50, Piedmont 36: Carlie Flowers scored 11 points and pulled down five rebounds for Piedmont. Breanna Brazier had nine points. Riesha Thompson finished with six points and six rebounds.

Jacksonville 65, Pleasant Valley 24: Darrien Martin’s 11 points led Jacksonville, while Que Mooney, Virginia Poe and Dasia Kirksey each had 10. For Pleasant Valley, Atleigh Brannon scored 13.
