How can anyone say the war on poverty is not a failure as is the war on drugs? Since the mid-1960s when President Johnson started all the progressive programs, we have spent $15 trillion on poverty with the various government programs.
The sad but funny thing is that it didn’t make any difference in the poverty rate. We should learn from history — it’s easy to see that the giveaway of addressing the issue doesn’t work. You could have given each person a million dollars, and due to just bad decision-making, most people would be right back where they were. Many aren’t interested in fixing their ignorance. You know you can’t fix stupid.
