“She’s real easy,” pet mom Laura Leathrum says. “I’ve never seen a dog you can just pick up and put anywhere without a fuss.”
But the easygoing lapdog is happiest when she’s getting loved on: “She loves to curl up in the bed,” Laura says. As long as big sister Maggie is there too.
Daisy was rescued from a breeder who, unable to sell her, was headed to dump the puppy outside the shelter one February night — one she wouldn’t have survived, Laura says. “She was the tiniest dog I’d ever seen.”
From day one Maggie, an 11-year-old schnauzer mix, “mothered her like she was her own,” recalls Laura. “They know there’s plenty of love and attention to go around.”
