PLEASANT VALLEY — Corey Phillis led Donoho with 29 kills, 34 digs and two blocks as the Lady Falcons defeated Pleasant Valley 25-16, 23-25, 19-25, 25-23, 15-7.

Rylee Segrest finished with 57 assists, four kills and 13 digs. Jordan Ray added 10 kills, 24 digs and three aces. Kayla Wallace had 10 kills, 16 digs and three aces.

For Pleasant Valley, Kaylee Benefield finished with nine kills and five blocks. Taylor Cochran and Jordan Moorer had nine kills each. Moorer added 24 digs.

Bailey Turner dished out 39 assists and four aces. Anna Bryant had 20 digs and three aces, and Abby Hedgepath added 13 digs.

Donoho (21-4) travels to Cedar Bluff on Tuesday for a tri-match against Cedar Bluff and Alexandria.

Oxford 3, Pell City 0 — Oxford swept Pell City 25-10, 25-16 and 25-20 at home for its fifth area win.

Mackenzie Trantham finished with 13 kills. Breanna Nolen added seven kills, nine digs and two aces. Morgan Whaley had 21 assists to lead the Yellow Jackets.

Katie Skinner added 11 assists and one ace.

Oxford (16-8, 5-1) returns to action in Hoover against Oak Mountain as part of the Over The Mountain Invitational on Friday.

Jacksonville 3, Alexandria 0 — Katie Neisler led the Golden Eagles to a sweep of the Valley Cubs with 17 kills, four digs and three blocks.

Ashley Clingan finished with 23 assists, Tamaria Mays added eight kills and Halee Stallings had eight kills, two digs and five blocks.

The scores were 25-23, 25-12, 25-15.

Jacksonville will travel to Hoover to take on North Cobb of Kennesaw, Ga., in the Over The Mountain Invitational on Friday.

Sacred Heart 3, Wadley 0 ­— The Cardinals went on the road and swept the Bulldogs with scores of 25-8, 25-16, 25-8.

Kristen Rothwell led the team with 15 kills and six aces. Anna Kerper added 14 assists and four aces, and Zainab Sansui had three kills and five aces.

The Cardinals are now 10-12 on the year including a 1-1 area record. They return to action Saturday at Wellborn as part of the Wellborn Slam Fest.

Piedmont 3, White Plains 2 —The Bulldogs beat White Plains in the best of five sets 21-25, 25-18, 16-25, 25-20, 15-12.

Riesha Thompson finished with 13 kills and Carlie Flowers added 18 kills to lead the Bulldogs. Mallory Roberts added 32 assists.

Piedmont (11-2, 3-2) returns to action Monday in a tri-match against Oxford and Saks at Oxford.

Saks 3, Weaver 0 — The Lady Wildcats swept the Lady Bearcats 25-18, 25-10, 25-8 on their home court.

Jordan Briskey led Saks with eight kills. Taylor Teague added five kills. D’Talya Lewis chipped in with five kills and four blocks, and Jaelyn Wilson had 21 assists and two aces.

Saks (12-9) travels to Oxford on Monday.
