We doubt the president is having a Cronkite moment on this one. (Explainer: Following a devastating piece on the Vietnam War in 1968 by CBS newsman Walter Cronkite, President Lyndon Johnson reportedly said, "“If I’ve lost Cronkite, I’ve lost the country.”)

Speaking of Barack Obama's handling of possible military strikes against Syria, former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said the president's plan has been "feckless and ineffective."
