The Atlanta Braves have recalled outfielder Todd Cunningham of Jacksonville from Class Triple-A Gwinnett.

Right-handed pitcher Brandon Beachy has gone on the 15-day disabled list, opening a spot for Cunningham, a second-round draft choice in 2010 out of Jacksonville State. The Braves announced the roster moves Friday afternoon.

Beach is suffering from elbow soreness, which began Tuesday during a game against the New York Mets.

Cunningham spent two weeks with the Braves earlier this summer, getting two hits in six at-bats. He is hitting .267 in 110 games with Gwinnett. He has 13 doubles, five triples, a pair of homers and 36 RBIs.
