The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Lusk and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Parris.
Miss Lusk grew up in Calhoun County, and earned her bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences from Auburn University in 2002. She completed her postgraduate studies at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2006 with a degree in pediatric medicine. She is a pediatrician at Tennessee Valley Pediatrics in Tuscumbia.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Ellen Kerr and the late Mr. Mack Kerr and Mr. and Mrs. Chester Alley.
Mr. Alley, a Lawrence County native, was educated at the University of North Alabama in Florence, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in history and journalism in 2006 and a master’s degree in secondary education in 2009. He is currently nearing the completion of a second master’s degree in history with a concentration in public history from UNA. He is the head of the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library’s Digital Archive department in Florence.
The wedding is planned for August, after which they will reside in Florence.
