Tony Douglas Snow Sr., 66, of Alexandria, was found guilty of second-degree sexual abuse, a felony, by District Judge Chris McIntyre, according to Calhoun County Sheriff Larry Amerson.
Amerson said his office received a report of the abuse on Feb. 10. A 14-year-old girl told deputies that Snow touched her inappropriately, the sheriff said. Amerson said Snow was not related to the victim and declined to release how Snow had access to the 14-year-old girl.
McIntyre sentenced the retired Milwaukee police officer to a year in the Calhoun County Jail, Amerson said. The sheriff said that is the maximum sentence for second-degree sexual abuse.
Snow was released from the county jail today on a $25,000 appeal bond, online court records show.
Online records show attorney Tim Burgess was retained by Snow. An attempt to reach Burgess this afternoon was unsuccessful.
