A golf cart was reported stolen Monday morning from a local hospital, Anniston police said this morning.

Anniston police Capt. Allen George said the vehicle was stolen from Regional Medical Center on Friday.

George said the hospital noticed the $6,000 green EZ Go Workhorse golf cart missing last week. RMC reviewed security footage and saw a man take the golf cart on Friday around 1:50 p.m., George said.

It was last seen headed east on Ninth Street, the captain said.

George said he was uncertain whether the man who took the golf cart was a hospital employee.

Police were reviewing security video today, George said, and attempting to identify the suspect, who could face felony theft charges.
