A 70-year-old man told police Wednesday that his home has been shot at several times in the last week.

Anniston police Sgt. Chris Sparks said the man told police he’s noticed broken windows in his home on the 7700 block of McClellan Boulevard from July 17 until Wednesday. Sparks said the man didn’t report the previous window damage sooner because he didn’t think anything of it. However, when another window was broken Wednesday afternoon, he decided to call police, the sergeant said.

Sparks said the damage is consistent with a small projectile. No one was hurt by the gunshots, Sparks said.

The sergeant said today that police are investigating the incident.

Any suspects could be charged with discharging a firearm into a building, a felony.
