Is justice truly blind in Anniston or are “we the people” being blindfolded?

On June 1, The Star published a report on information received from Capt. Allen George of the Anniston Police Department, complete with the name, age, approximate address and mug shot of a woman suspected of selling a gun that didn’t belong to her.

Two days later, The Star published another report with information from Capt. George about a man fighting in a bar, attempting to buy drugs, again fighting and finally firing a gun multiple times in the parking lot.

But, this second report did not include any information on the suspect and he was not arrested, despite the police stating the gun he was shooting was stolen and the investigating officers did not determine why he had possession of it.

Of these two reports, only the second appeared to pose any threat to public safety yet no information about the suspect which could be useful to the public was released.

What gives, Anniston?
