Inter-Se Study Club honors Jerry Klug

The meeting of the Inter-Se Study Club was the May luncheon held at the Classic on Noble, Anniston, Tuesday,  May 21, with the Social Committee; Carolyn Brooks, Vera Miller, and Eloise Moersch and Vera Miller as hostesses.

After the luncheon Linda Read, Book of Golden Deeds Chairman, presented a certificate to Jerry Klug, the Inter-Se Study Club Man of the Year and Book of Golden Deeds honoree.

Mary L. White, Assistant Director, District II, Alabama Federation of Women’s Clubs, presented the awards earned by the club for the 2012-2013 Club Year from District II and those presented to the club at the 118th AFWC Convention held at Perdido Beach on April 12-14, to the club president, Kenneith Calvert.  Awards were as follows:  District II Awards; Conservation Community Service Project, Home Life Community Service Project, and Public Issues Community Service Project and awards at the AFWC State Level were the Home Life Community Service Program Award, and the President’s Award of Excellence.

Mrs. White explained that in for the District II awards the competition is between 7 clubs, while the state award is competition among the 97 clubs in the state.

Members present were:  Carolyn Brooks, Kenneith Calvert, Martha Dobson, Elaine Doyle, Ruth Hobbs, Judy Klug, Vera Miller, Eloise Moersch, Bobbi Neumann, Linda Read, Carolyn Sasser, Constance Sims, Margaret Stem, Margaret Valine, Sandy Walker, Carol Ann Watson, Mary L. White, guest, Shea Livermore and special guest, Jerry Klug.
