The White Plains High School robotic team April 6 won first place in the Alabama Lego Robotics competition held at the University of Alabama. Out of a field of 42 teams, the trio of fifth graders took first place in route to a perfect score. The team was also the only elementary school to achieve this.

Team members included, Hayden Gross, Jamie Jenkins and Cooper Young and coach John Moore.
