According to Sgt. Chris Sparks, the victim was outside on the 100 block of North Colvin Street Monday between 9:15 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. The victim told police he was arguing with a woman, when a man he knew approached him and brandished a pistol, Sparks said.
The victim fled on foot and the suspect fired multiple gunshots at him, but none of them hit the victim, the sergeant said.
Sparks said the suspect fled before police arrived and he has not been located. Police recovered several shell casings from the scene, but a weapon was not found.
A suspect is likely to face first-degree attempted assault charges, a felony, Sparks said.
