Police are searching for two male suspects who allegedly took $2,000 cash and a cell phone Wednesday from a man at gunpoint.

The man, a 36-year-old Georgia resident, told police he was visiting a home on the first block of Grant Avenue when he was approached by two men. He reported that one brandished a firearm and both wore face coverings as they demanded money from him. Officers arrived during the robbery and the two suspects fled on foot, according to Anniston police Sgt. Chris Sparks.

The suspects are likely to be charged with first-degree robbery, a felony, according to a police report.

Police were investigating the incident Thursday, but had no suspects.
