Bonnie Gail Swink, 49, of Anniston, robbed a store on the 3100 block of Noble Street on Nov. 12., Anniston police Sgt. Chris Sparks said.
According to Sparks, Swink attempted to steal multiple items from the store by placing them in her purse. When Swink attempted to leave the store without paying for the items, a store employee confronted her, Sparks said.
Swink struck the employee, dropped her purse and fled the store, the sergeant said.
After an investigation, police were able to identify Swink and charge her with third-degree robbery, Sparks said.
Swink paid her $2,500 bond Tuesday and was released from the Anniston City Jail. A court date is scheduled for April 15.
