I was born and raised in Anniston and have been home for a while after being away for more than 40 years. Therefore, I have plenty to say. I remember before I left how nice West Anniston used to be. The recently-painted mural shows how people’s lives once were. Kudos to John Davis and Joseph Giri.
West 15th Street, a historic part of Anniston, has been choked to death slowly for decades. The new city management and council should start some kind of redevelopment by restoring all the empty buildings, such as the old drug store on Pine Avenue and other buildings on 15th Street.
