No law, no justice

As a U.S. citizen in Alabama, I am outraged by the lawlessness of the attorney general’s office and the state Supreme Court. Their secret actions, which led to the illegal raid of Victoryland, should be a concern to all Alabamians.

Their sheer defiance of the rule of law and their ability to make up the laws as they go is staggering. The Supreme Court had to be desperate to use a law written in 1899 to overturn a judge and an appeals court unanimous decision to deny a search warrant for the attorney general’s office.

The rule of law in Alabama doesn’t seem to apply to our elected officials. Where there is no law, there is no justice, at least for private citizens.
