Jock Pierre Gilbert, 46, of Anniston, was charged Tuesday with felony second-degree domestic violence as well as giving a false name to police and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors.
According to Sgt. Chris Sparks, Gilbert tried to force his way into a home on the 2800 block of West 11th Street at 4 p.m. Tuesday. Sparks said the home belongs to Gilbert’s 45-year-old ex-girlfriend. The woman told police Gilbert made threats to hurt her while attempting to enter the house, Sparks said.
The sergeant said when officers questioned Gilbert at the scene, he gave police a fake name. Police attempted to arrest Gilbert for using a false identity and Gilbert resisted, but police were able to detain him, Sparks said.
Gilbert was in the Anniston City Jail Wednesday. Gilbert’s bond was set at $11,000 and court dates were scheduled for April 8 and April 10.
