Casey Antley threw seven strong innings, Coty Blanchard stole home and Jacksonville State rallied from an early deficit to beat Southern Illinois 5-4 Sunday and salvage the final game of their three-game weekend series.

Antley had one tough inning, giving up four in the second, but wound up scattering six hits to earn his second win of the season. Travis Stout recorded the final five outs to collect his second save.

Next: S. Alabama at JSU, Tuesday, 3 p.m.

Blanchard stole home in the first inning to give JSU (3-5) a 1-0 lead, but the lead didn’t last long. Just as they had done in the first two games in the series, the Salukis (4-3) scored in their next at-bat, scoring four times to take the lead.

The Gamecocks closed the gap with two runs in the fourth, and then took the lead for good with two in the seventh.

Adam Miller’s third pinch-hit of the series drove home the tying run and Griff Gordon knocked in the go-ahead run with an infield RBI single. Gordon had two hits in the game.

Eddie Mora-Loera extended his hitting streak to eight games with a single in the seventh inning. Paschal Petrongolo hit his third triple in four games in the fourth inning.
