JACKSONVILLE -- Aiming for its fourth straight regional championship, Lee-Huntsville put four players in double figures of a Class 6A Northeast Regional semifinal win over Huffman 71-62 today.

Lee (32-3) won the Class 5A Northwest Regional championship in each of the previous three seasons, but since then, the Generals received a promotion to 6A and a switch to the Northeast Regional at Jacksonville.

They still are winning, however, as they led the final 22 minutes, 7 seconds. Huffman had a one-point advantage with 6:07 left in the first half.

Jay Thomas led Lee with 17 points, while Khwan Fore added 14 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Taylor Moore added 14 points, and Tony Reynolds added 10 points, four assists and three steals.

For Huffman (16-14), Andre Redd had 19 points and 11 rebounds, and Dalon Evans, a transfer who became eligible after the first semester, finished with 14 points and six rebounds.

Lee will play again Friday at 10:45 a.m. against Mountain Brook, a 47-44 winner over Clay-Chalkville.
