The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that vehicles killed 35,498 people in 2010. It’s time to stop their slaughter.
I propose:
Banning any vehicle with seating capacity for more than four passengers. That’s more than enough capacity to let any citizen exercise her or his right to travel.
Requiring anyone wanting to exercise their right to travel to pass a test proving mental competency. And prohibiting any person younger than 17 years of age from traveling by vehicle.
If necessary, states should call a convention to amend our Constitution and put an end to this slaughter by vehicles.
