I have seen the reports of the sheriff’s meeting with President Obama and his subsequent news conference on the position of the National Sheriff’s Association. I wish to thank Sheriff Amerson for his courageous stand in support of the Second Amendment in the face of what I imagine to be stiff resistance from the liberal left of the Democratic Party.
I have always supported Sheriff Amerson at the ballot box and intend to continue to do so for as long as he sees fit to run. Even though I am an avowed Republican and he is a Democrat, I believe him to be a man of character and resolve, and I proudly declare my support of him in his resistance to the unconstitutional attempt by the current regime to usurp his authority.
