The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the burglary of a fireworks vendor reported last week in Alexandria.

Anytime Fireworks was burglarized between Jan. 19 and Jan. 21, Chief Deputy Matthew Wade said. A report shows a flat-screen TV worth $350 and nearly $2,800 in fireworks were stolen from the business.

Attempts to reach Anytime Fireworks Monday were unsuccessful.

Wade said that when employees came to the store, they noticed a door had been pried open and the fireworks were gone.

“They don’t know when (the burglary) occurred,” Wade said. “They didn’t have any type of alarm or security system.”

Wade said deputies processed the scene and are still searching for suspects.
