Ms. Lucy Bulwinkle Reid of Mobile and Mr. and Mrs. William Francis Reid Sr., of Tuscaloosa announce the engagement of their daughter, Lucy Clark Reid, to Philip Jennings Lawler, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Laymon Lawler, of Mobile.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Neil Bulwinkle, formerly of Mobile and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ward Reid Sr., of Anniston.

Miss Reid is a graduate of St. Paul’s Episcopal School in Mobile and the University of Alabama. She is employed by Principal Mortgage, LLC.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lemuel Floyd Elkins, formerly of Decatur and Mrs. James Edmund Lawler of Anniston the late Mr. James Edmund Lawler.

Mr. Lawler is a graduate of St. Paul’s Episcopal School in Mobile and the University of Alabama. He is employed by Cahaba Benefits Group.

The wedding will be April 27, 2013, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Chapel in Mobile.
