The Major General Patrick R. Cleburne UDC Chapter 2632 donates annually to the Alabama Room of the Anniston-Calhoun County Library. During recent years, this Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy has donated a large quantity of reels of microfilm, diskettes, CDs and books in addition to financial contributions.

Materials donated assist Library patrons with genealogy research. An example of earlier donations by this UDC Chapter include the following 15 reels of microfilm: Cleburne County Alabama newspapers 1930-1932, 1934-1936, 1937-1940 and 1941-1944; Randolph County Alabama newspapers 1913-1914 and 1915-1916; Jacksonville Alabama newspapers 1879-1883; Calhoun County Alabama 1883-1887 and 1887-1888; Carroll County Georgia newspapers 1877-1880 and 1880-1884.

On Saturday, December 1st, the Chapter's annual donation was presented by Chapter members Kitty Bussey and Lou Walker. This 2012 donation included $150.00 and six books.
