The objective of the AUSA Soldier Support Campaign was to build "Care Packages" of baby wipes, phone cards, books, movies, stationery, snacks, and other treats to make the Soldiers’ lives a little more pleasant during the Holiday Season.
With the support of the two top project managers, Timothy K. Garrett and Guy Campbell, Westinghouse Anniston employees Ginger Harvey and William Bell organized a site campaign to place collection boxes at key locations around the ANCDF complex. Everything that had been generously donated was delivered to the Alabama Army National Guard Training Center at Fort McClellan Tuesday.
The project was also supported throughout the local community. Collection boxes were set out at the local Walmart stores, at all of the AOD Federal Credit Union locations, and at the AAFES Stores on Fort McClellan and Anniston Army Depot.
