I believe this writer’s beliefs (and the Democrats’) are based on the misconception that victory in the election is a sign that God is on their side. It is very clear in the Scriptures that covering up the truth about four Americans killed in Libya, murdering unborn babies, sanctifying men having sex with other men and women with other women, and the booing of God Himself at the Democratic National Convention are not actions, attitudes or policies God has now, has in the past, or will in the future “ordain.” To do so would be a contradiction of what God has ordained already as truth in the Scriptures.
One example of how God allowed a man to rule, although it was against His will, is found in 1 Samuel, chapters 8-31. The Israelites rejected God as their king and whined until God allowed them to choose Saul. Saul didn’t even have the courage to fight Goliath, but rather let a young sheepherder do it for him. After David killed Goliath, Saul knew that God was ready to ordain David the new king and tried to kill the young man, hunting him down like an animal, but God protected him.
In the end, Saul conjures up Samuel from the dead to get direction for battle. Israel is defeated by the Philistines and Saul’s sons are killed. Saul asks his armorbearer to kill him so the Philistines would not make “sport” of him, but the man wouldn’t do it. Saul died as a broken man, dead by his own hand.
The moral of this story is be careful what you ask for or vote for because it may be the wrong thing or wrong person. And when problems arise because of the decision you made, don’t blame God or call it His will.
