Chloe Nolen Hobdy and Matthew Friedrichs Livaudais were united in marriage May 26, 2012, at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Auburn. The Rev. Monsignor William Skoneki officiated the ceremony. A reception followed at Greystone Mansion in Auburn.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brady Hobdy of Ashland and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jean Nolen and the late Bonnie Adams Nolen of Ashland and Mrs. Stella Hobdy and the late Henry H. Hobdy of Hayneville.

The groom is the son of retired Lt. Col. and Mrs. Alfred F. Livaudais Jr. of Enterprise and the grandson of Mrs. Melba M. Legere and the late Paul A. Legere of Kaplan, La., and Mrs. Katherine L. Livaudais and the late Alfred F. Livaudais of New Orleans, La..

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a Vera Wang organza gown with draped bodice and hand cut bias flange skirt in ivory. The bridal bouquet was white carnations with yellow, pink and ivory ribbons.

The bride chose her sister, Mrs. Bonnie Brasseal of Glencoe, as matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Ms. Kathy Gerken of Auburn, Ms. Lauren Horn of Wake Forest, N.C., Mrs. Stormy Luker of Birmingham, Mrs. Amy Livaudais, sister of the groom, of Kinsington, Md., Ms. Sarah Smith of Auburn, Ms. Jill Stapleton of Auburn and Ms. Ruth Yusckat of Albuquerque, N.M. Flower girls were Miss Grace McCarrick and Miss Olivia McCarrick, nieces of the groom, of Kinsington, Md.

The groom chose his brother, Mr. Chris Livaudais of Atlanta, Ga., as best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Jeremy Banks of Los Angeles, Calif., Mr. Chris Burch of Nashville, Tenn., Mr. Chris Martin of Birmingham, Mr. John McCormack of Auburn, Mr. Brent Sparkman of Newport Beach, Calif., Mr. Alex Wall of Auburn, and Mr. Jordan Waller of Birmingham.

Vocalist was Ms. Brea Roper of Kansas City, Mo., with Dr. Bruce Murray of Auburn, as organist.

Altar Server was Mr. Dirk Perkins of Auburn and Eucharistic Ministers were Mrs. Kirsten Perkins and Mrs. Vicki Bolling, both of Auburn.

Readings were by Mr. Jacques Stafford, cousin of the groom, of Thibeaux, La., and Ms. Laura Thomas, cousin of the bride, of Chelsea. Mr. Russell Nolen, uncle of the bride, of Auburn, assisted in presenting the gifts.

The bride and groom are both graduates of Auburn University. Chloe is currently a graduate teaching assistant at Auburn, where she is pursuing her master’s in creative writing. Matt is currently a graduate teaching assistant at Auburn, where he is pursuing his master’s in industrial design.

Following their honeymoon in Savannah, Ga., the couple resides in Auburn.
