This is a letter of support for Mike Almaroad, who is running for the Calhoun County Board of Education.

I have known Mike and have lived in the same community with him for more than 30 years. He has been one of my next-door neighbors for 12 years and we have had many conversations about education since I am also an educator. Five generations of his family have attended Calhoun County Schools. After graduation from Jacksonville State, he worked for 32 years at the Opportunity Center in Anniston and recently retired as its administrator. His experience as an administrator and board member for 24 years has given him a perspective that few possess in approaching problems and finding solutions to problems our schools encounter. He is genuinely interested in improving education in Calhoun County.
