On Nov. 6, I will be voting for a new circuit court judge. The Hon. Malcolm Street Jr. will be retiring after 25-plus years of service to Calhoun and Cleburne County residents. Judge Street has brought dignity, professionalism and compassion to his courtroom, and now we must decide who will fill his seat. I believe that Foster Marshall is that man.

He has served in the district attorney’s office for the past 12 years with the same integrity Judge Street brought to the bench. As a prosecutor, Marshall has demonstrated professionalism both in court and out of court, to victims, their families, police officers, the judges, court clerks, probation officers, other lawyers and to the general public. Marshall’s opponent, however, did not project the same impartiality, dedication and respect for the law when he previously served as a family court judge and residents spoke loud and clear by choosing not to re-elect him. Forster Marshall is the future.

Please elect Foster Marshall for Circuit Court Judge.
