That’s when an eight-page weekly insert dubbed “TVstar” will make its debut in the newspaper. The tabloid-sized supplement contains programming information in a grid for weeknights in primetime, plus daytime listings for Saturday and Sunday. There’s also a feature TV story and a TV-themed crossword puzzle.
The Star decided to make the change after eliminating its Escapes section in August, as a result moving the week’s TV grid to the newspaper’s regular pages on Sundays. That switch wasn’t well-received by readers.
“We heard from readers who were unhappy with the way we delivered TV listings, and we have made proper adjustments,” said Bob Davis, the paper’s associate publisher.
TVstar will appear every Friday. Readers who’d like to get their TV listings from The Star online can continue to receive around-the-clock programming information at http://annistonstar.com/tv
