They stood up for what was right; they went from having to sit at the back of the bus to owning the bus. They have moved mountains by showing courage and endurance. They now walk proud and tall knowing their courage paid off.
It is time for the Democrats to stand up to the schoolyard bullies and let them know that because we believe in a true Democracy that does not make us communists, and we are no longer going to take a back seat on the bus.
In February 2011, GOP Chairman Bill Armistead put out a message to the Democrats: “We have doors open to a conservative philosophy, I would not encourage Democrats to apply.”
I am now inviting any Republicans who are tired of the conservative philosophy to come and join the Democratic Party.
The Republican presidential nominee told all the minimum wage earners, seniors and those who are out of work that it was not his job to worry about them. “There are 47 percent of the people who are dependent upon the government, who believe the government has the responsibility to care for them, who believe they are entitled to health care, food, housing, you name it. My job is not to worry about these people.”
In my opinion, it is the responsibility of all Christians and Americans to worry about those who are less fortunate than the ones who live in mansions with car elevators, yet pay less taxes than those wage earners who barely earn enough to pay their bills.
I am proud to be a patriotic American Democrat.
