Investigators have obtained an arrest warrant for Quinta McKinney, 20, on a felony shooting into an occupied vehicle charge, Sgt. Jon Garlick said. Deputies have also arrested a 17-year-old male in the case, the person investigators believe drove McKinney to and from the scene of the crime, Garlick said.
Garlick said the shooting stemmed from an altercation between McKinney and his girlfriend, who is also the mother of his child. McKinney went to Don Lee Mobile Home Park in Oxford to confront an unknown man around 8 p.m. Friday, Garlick said.
When he arrived, McKinney’s girlfriend showed up in a car with four other people, Garlick said, and McKinney shot at the vehicle with two pistols.
No one was injured in the shooting, Garlick said. Investigators discovered a bullet hole in the victims' vehicle as well as in another car at the park, according to an incident report.
Sheriff’s deputies were able to locate McKinney in a trailer in Weaver on Saturday, but the man fled the scene when they arrived. Garlick said.
McKinney was still at large as of Monday at 4:30 p.m.
