The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Donald and Winifred English, formerly of Ranburne and the late Kenneth and Gertie O’Dell, formerly of DeArmanville.
Miss English is a graduate of Ranburne High School. She has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Auburn University. She is employed by the Alabama Department of Transportation.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Norma and George Henry Francom Jr. of Ranburne and the late Ellen Catherine Smith, formerly of Roopville, Ga.
Mr. Smith is a graduate of Ranburne High School. He is a licensed electrician and attends Gadsden State Community College pursuing an electrical engineering degree.
The wedding will be at 5 p.m. Oct. 13, 2012, at Sunset Ranch in Villa Rica, Ga. The Rev. Kit Carson will officiate.
