According to Anniston police reports, the 50-year-old male victim was allegedly robbed between 10:15 and 10:45 p.m. Friday in an alley in the 400 block of East 18th Street in Anniston.
Anniston police Lt. Fred Forsythe said the victim received various injuries and was sent to Regional Medical Center after the incident. The victim had left the hospital by Monday.
“There are some suspects the victim will help us identify,” Forsythe said.
Forsythe said many of the details surrounding the incident are still unclear.
“Due to his condition at the time, the statement he gave was vague,” Forsythe said.
The victim stated the incident began as a confrontation between him and the four suspects.
“The four people were fighting him,” Forsythe said. “They went through his pants pockets.”
The suspects found nothing and left the victim in the alley, Forsythe said.
