It used to be in America that we knew what a marriage was, till we “evolved.” Used to be we felt it proper to have a prayer at school now and again and even a Bible verse to guide our students. Now we hardly complain about a crucifix dipped in urine but apologize 50 times because a nutcake spoke ill of a Quran. Sadly, we kept apologizing even after brave Americans were butchered to death inside the womb of our own embassy in Libya. Used to be, our God was real and important to us. Now, their God and the next term trumps all.

So, since we have an election on Nov. 6, the major thing on my heart is where the candidates stand on abortion. Used to be that we knew “that thing” inside that young lady was a baby. For good reason and common sense, babies were safe until Jan. 22, 1973. On that ignominious day, the Supreme Court legalized a holocaust. Three-thousand “things” a day for 39 years have met their fate, totaling a whopping 50 million potential moms and voters. So I am voting this election the same way I have voted in every election since my first one in 1970. The candidate and the party who is closest to abortion is furthest from my vote.

Race is not a factor. Babies and children are colorless to me. The cries of the “things” agitate my conscience, and conscience has evolved to become a good friend of mine. Wonder who the babies would vote for?
