A local non-profit organization, Bilingual Kids, Inc., recently headed up a medical tem to Chorrillo, Panama. The team was organized by Pastor Reinaldo Whyte, pastor of Harvest International Ministry. The team of 11 visited the poorest and most dangerous city in Panama called ‘El Chorrillo’. They were able to see 200 patients in general medicine and pediatrics.

General medicine was led by Dr. Almena Free of Anniston Medical Clinic and the pediatrics was headed up by Dr. Naresh Purohit, of Purohit Pediatric Clinic. Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center provided most of the medications for this mission.

The team is already planning a medical expedition to Peru for July of 2013. Anyone who is in the medical field or speaks Spanish is welcome to attend. Contact Jenniffer Whyte at jennifferwhyte@yahoo.com for more information.
