Being the kind of man he is, he rose to the occasion and proved to be a caring, considerate neighbor, interested in our family (including those three teenagers) and even welcoming our springer with treats and attention. He was always the neighbor you could rely on whenever he was needed.
This story is classic Vaughn Stewart. In those early years, I came to admire him as a good and caring man, with a generous nature and a devotion to his community, his town, his church and his family. I came to appreciate his quick intelligence, his interest in the needs of others and his good humor.
Vaughn Stewart will bring these qualities to his responsibilities as mayor of Anniston. Good neighbor, devoted father, son and brother and experienced community leader, he deserves our vote for mayor of Anniston on Aug. 28.
