I am DeQuirea Royal’s father, and I am very angry and upset because they took my daughter’s life and no justice has been done. This murder is unsolved, and I need help.
My daughter fought for this country. She was about to deploy to Afghanistan in June. My daughter would do anything for anybody. I want to know what takes so long to make all of these arrests?
Unfortunately for my daughter, months have already passed and only one arrest has been made, though several people may have been involved. Please, I need someone to hear my cry. I loved my daughter dearly. She took care of this family. I cannot sleep or eat knowing that the people who did this to her run free. Please, I need help. She didn’t just fight to protect Anniston, she stood tall in uniform to protect this country. The way our police department feels about one of their own being taken away, I feel 10 times worse because this is my daughter.
Anniston has so many unsolved murders and, sadly, women are starting to take the lead. Anniston needs help, not just for my baby but for every parent who has lost their children in such horrible ways. My family has to walk around every day facing that they may bump into these guys on the street. We cannot handle this. Who could handle seeing people free who have taken away my daughter, their sister? Please, someone help us.
