It’s a mountain bike trail. That’s why it was built.
So give credit to the Anniston City Council, which, with a push from Councilman Jay Jenkins, voted Tuesday to ban motorized vehicles from the trail and impose hefty fines on those who are caught.
Perhaps this is a case of the story not really being the story.
We’re all for protecting the trail, but we’re even more pleased to see a quick, positive step taken by the council. This city needs more of that.
