Anyone who’s been around Vaughn Stewart knows he goes out of his way to help others. That caring attitude will benefit this community with Vaughn as mayor of Anniston.

Because he cares that people feel safe, he will work to ensure that the Anniston Police Department has the support it needs to adequately protect citizens and officers. Because he cares that all children receive quality educational preparation, Vaughn will reach out to the Anniston Board of Education to develop an open, working relationship. And because Vaughn cares that people have access to gainful employment, he will work tirelessly to recruit new businesses so that more people can find work.

Beyond having the spirit needed to propel Anniston forward, Vaughn has the vision this city so desperately needs. His first order of business will be to make sure people are aware of his vision, solicit community and council input to amend or fine-tune the vision, and collaboratively develop short-term and long-term strategic plans that will allow the community vision to become a reality. Community unity is a necessary ingredient for this process to work, and Vaughn has the ability needed to unite people.

Vaughn Stewart knows how to form partnerships with others and turn talk into action. Elect a man of action and cooperation by selecting Vaughn as our next mayor on Aug. 28.
