Why not disclose?

Recently, the U.S. Senate held a vote on the DISCLOSE Act. It is a simple piece of legislation requiring donors of more than $10,000 to political campaign groups to have to disclose their identities.

Seems reasonable to me, however, not to our two senators, Richard Shelby and Jeff Sessions. Both voted to continue the practice of hiding behind the special-interest monies that infect our politics and policies today.

It is like the Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney not wanting to disclose his past tax returns — and unlike his father, George Romney, who started the practice back when he was running for president in 1968.

Our politics, both Democrat and Republican, are infected by special-interest groups, companies and corporate interests that buy our elections for their own interests and greed.
