Choosing the right candidate for mayor of Anniston is critical during the upcoming city elections. When comparing the background experiences, involvement with civic affairs and proposals for Anniston of the various candidates, I have found Vaughn Stewart to be the best choice all the way around.

Not only does Vaughn have the vitality and passion to kick-start Anniston’s rebirth, he has the leadership skills necessary to direct that forward momentum. He has exemplified those leadership skills through volunteer work with victims and offenders to help them rehab their lives, by serving as an active board member for the YMCA, Chamber of Commerce, Regional Medical Center and The Donoho School, and by assuming leadership positions with Community Enabler and Red Cross. He has also worked with the Board of Realtors, the Alabama Alumni and Friends Chapter, the Homebuilders Association and the Rotary Club. His history of serving and guiding others is extensive.

Vaughn has also studied cities similar to Anniston that boast successful schools, effective crime prevention programs and improved economic development. With involvement from Anniston residents and consensus from City Council members, Vaughn would like to apply winning practices to the way Anniston does business. As a former municipal judge, Vaughn has publicly demonstrated the diplomacy and tact that will be required for the collaborative work that lies ahead.

Please help put Anniston’s future in the right hands. Select Vaughn Stewart as your next mayor.
