Ever since he was young, Seyram Selase was meant to do great things. Being his sister, I’ve seen the maturation of his priorities and character. When we were kids, our mother would pray one particular Scripture over Seyram, my sister and me. That Scripture was Luke 2:52: “Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and all the people.” Our mother would put our names in that Scripture, speaking into our lives favor with not only God, but people, too.

Seyram, being the oldest, set an example for my sister and me. He had an outlook on academics unlike most boys his age and showed us that an education was vital. Seyram even, in part with my sister, influenced my decision on where to attend college. I saw such growth in him during his college years that I wanted that same experience. Seyram is a man of integrity who has a strong foundation that holds together a reliable structure. I have no doubt that he sincerely cares for this community and will do all that he can to better it.
