The road was damaged by a water main break a couple of weeks ago, said Bob Dean, Anniston’s director of public works. The road will be fixed temporarily so residents can use it while the city evaluates how to make a permanent repair, Dean said.
“We’re just trying to make the road safe,” Dean said.
This will be the first of several closures on that road in the near future, Dean added.
