To purchase a parking decal, students must have an Alabama driver’s license, provide proof of insurance, make and model of vehicle, and tag receipt of vehicle that will be driven to school.
The sixth grade is to meet 9-11 a.m. July 17. Students may purchase lockers for $15, pay fees, and bring supplies on this day.
New student registration for grades 6-12 is to be 8 a.m.-noon July 18. New students registering must have: birth certificate, Social Security card, Alabama immunization record (blue form), proof of custody (if applicable), proof of residence (must provide power bill and one other utility), name/address of previous school, past report card (transfer grades), discipline records from previous school. The Alabama Department of Revenue’s free “New Business” workshop is to be 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. July 17 at the Oxford High School media center, Hale Street, next to the Oxford High School baseball field. The free workshop is to cover a variety of state tax information topics, including employer withholding taxes, state and local sales taxes, property taxes, business licensing requirements, and changes in Alabama’s child labor law. A “Back to Nature: Rain barrels and cisterns for the landscape” rain barrel workshop is to be 10 a.m.-noon July 19 at Anniston Museum of Natural History.
