The Fourth of July brings many thoughts to mind, the greatest of which is the celebration of our freedom from British rule. But it also helps me keep in mind that this freedom is not to be abused.

I live in a country that allows me to travel anywhere I choose and visit most anything I care to. Our Founding Fathers fought to give us this freedom, and we continue to this day to fight on many fronts to ensure this freedom remains intact.

So many take our freedoms for granted, and I thank God and our soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines and Coast Guard for all they do to allow my family and me the opportunity to remember this day. Not just by cooking out, or watching fireworks, but by remembering that we are living a dream that many people in many nations do not enjoy and cannot imagine.

God bless America!
